Merseytravel names £250m framework winners

Liverpool city region’s passenger transport organisation has awarded 47 companies places on 15 lots as part of a £250m multi-disciplinary framework for the next four years.

A broad range of lots cover jobs under project management, highways, surveying, architectural, engineering, urban planning, landscape engineering, scientific and technical consulting, testing and analysis services, and PR and marketing.

Around 100 appointments have been made between the 48 companies, to work on sites as diverse as tunnels, rail track, naval architecture, highways, buildings, bridges and other infrastructure.

Merseytravel is the transport body of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. The Framework has been entered into by Merseytravel, but any constituent council of the combined authority, including the Liverpool Local Enterprise Partnership, may call off this agreement.

Merseytravel’s estate comprises of offices, bus stations, ferry terminals, public attractions such as Space-port and the U-boat experience, engineering workshops, bus and rail park and ride facilities, both the Kingsway and Queensway Mersey Tunnels and ventilation stations and public spaces.
