Mace & Jones wins social housing work

The law firm, which has offices in Manchester, Knutsford and Liverpool, has announced a number of new client wins within its social housing division.

The division is acting on legal advice for Liverpool-based The Riverside Group and City West Housing Trust based in Eccles. Other clients include Muir Group Housing Association, The Vicinity Group, Cheshire Peaks and Plains and Knowsley Housing Trust.

Sheila Whitton, head of social housing at Mace & Jones, said: "The team has been working very hard over the past 18 months and we are very pleased with the clients that we have brought on board, some of which have come through the tender process and others through word of mouth. The success we have had has been even more marked in view of the current climate. In good times it can be a much simpler process but we have had to ensure that we offer the best, most practical and cost effective service to prospective clients.

"We offer the social housing sector tailored advice to their specific requirements, in areas such as property, construction, housing management, litigation, employment, procurement, banking and finance."

Whitton, who set up the division in March 2009, works out of both the offices in Liverpool and Manchester.
