Hertel occupies Ellesmere Port warehouse

International engineering company Hertel has signed a lease agreement on a new 44,000 sq ft manufacturing facility on Cloister Way in Ellesmere Port, south Wirral.

Hertel will use the unit in part to service a long standing contract for repair and maintenance at its Stanlow refinery in Ellesmere Port.

The building is being developed by Nantwich-based Andrews Property Investments, which will lease back the premises to Hertel upon completion.

Hertel will start fitting out the premises in the autumn with a view to being fully operational before the end of the year.

Robert Mee, chairman of the Ellesmere Port Development Board, said: "Hertel are an international company with a proven track record in added value engineering and we are delighted that they have chosen to expand their operations in Ellesmere Port."

Andrews Property Investments acquired the site from Cheshire West & Chester Council for an undisclosed sum.

Legat Owen advised Andrews Property Investments on the acquisition and on the letting to Hertel.

Warrington-based Morgan Williams advised Hertel on the deal. Details of the rental agreement were not disclosed.
