Expanding fit-out firm chooses Belvedere

Landlord, Orchard Street Investment Management, has signed a new tenant to the ground floor retail units at Belvedere in Manchester city centre.

Nottingham-based Paragon Interiors Group, a design and fit-out firm, is opening a showroom at the building to service an expansion in the North West. The firm signed for 2,900 sq ft on a 15-year lease.

The new showroom is due to open in September this year. Paragon already has North West clients, including Adidas, Bupa, Adecco and JD Sports.

Paragon said it will create up to 12 new posts over the coming months across its departments and there will be a requirement for new electricians and mechanical experts to service the region. Mike McKeown, head of Paragon Manchester, added: "Manchester is a deliberate choice to pioneer our company's regionalisation, the city holds a well-defined property market with renewed signs of increased activity and we're delighted to be entering it with our unique service offering. In selecting Belvedere as our base, it best reflects our ethos of quality and profile with its prominent position, street level frontage and contemporary build and we look forward to creating a dynamic and energetic business here."

Edwards & Co acted on behalf of Paragon Interiors Group; WHR Property Consultants LLP and Jones Lang LaSalle for Orchard Street IM.
