Capital & Centric is only selling flats within Crusader Mill to owner-occupiers

Eric Wright lines up first job with Capital & Centric

Eric Wright is set to deliver a new-build block next to Capital & Centric’s Crusader Mill, currently being refurbished by contractor Artez.

The 200,000 sq ft grade two-listed Crusader Mill buildings are being converted to provide 201 one, two, and three bed apartments, with designs by architect Shedkm. Next to the mill buildings, Eric Wright is set to deliver a 10-storey new-build block of 75 apartments.

A further 126 apartments will be housed in the mill buildings, and these are currently being delivered by fellow contractor Artez, which started on site in March this year.

Capital & Centric bought the site in an off-market deal with private landowner Shafiq Tufail at the end of 2015, and the apartments were put up for sale to local owner-occupiers in June last year.

Crusader forms part of the growing East Village neighbourhood, which is set to benefit from the arrival of HS2 into Piccadilly. C&C has also snapped up a 0.25-acre brownfield site at the junction of Adair Street and Great Ancoats Street for £2m, adding to its development pipeline in the area.
