Cobra signs for Shadsworth unit

Cobra UK, the stolen vehicle tracking specialist, has taken a 10,941 sq ft warehousing and office facility in Duttons Way, Shadsworth Business Park on a five-year lease.

Cobra UK is currently in the process of relocating staff from its head office in Sale to a purpose-built alarm receiving centre at Network 65 Business Park in Burnley, the purchase of which completed in December 2013.

The premises in Burnley and Blackburn were both acquired on behalf of Cobra UK by Andy Backhouse, associate director of industrial and logistics in the Colliers International Manchester office. Blackburn-based chartered surveyors Trevor Dawson acted for the landlord of Unit 5 Duttons Way, Steelacre 2.

Cobra UK currently operates from a warehouse and production facility based in Sunbury-on-Thames in Middlesex alongside its headquarters in Sale which houses its customer service team and other non-field based staff.

Cobra UK said that a significant number of new jobs would be created following the relocation.
