Casey hires development lead

Casey has appointed Neil Pickering, formerly of GL Hearn and Homes England, as head of development.

At GL Hearn, Pickering was development director and previously spent three years as development manager at Ridge & Partners, and four years as head of area for Homes England.

Working alongside Casey’s managing director, Chris Casey and group business development director, Matthew Sorrigan, he will be responsible for Casey land and development activity.

Pickering said: “This is a tremendous new challenge for me. I’m thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for Casey to build and expand its development pipeline. I’m looking forward to working with the team to unlock the potential of existing and new opportunities providing new homes, employment and regenration opportunities with local authorities and other key partners.”

Construction and property business Casey has its headquarters in Rochdale and currently employs around 300 people.
