Artis Park second phase on track for year-end completion
The Winsford joint venture from Kier Property, Eric Wright Group’s Maple Grove Developments and Yorvale plans to create three standalone industrial units totalling 54,000 sq ft in this phase.
Main contractor HP Construction began building work on the second phase on 24 May. The new units will range from 10,000 to 26,000 sq ft in size, under the plans. Cheshire and Warrington LEP contributed £5m to the scheme, which was designed by Fletcher Rae Architects. Wakesmans is the quantity surveyor, Tier is the engineer and RBS Design is the M&E consultant for the project.
Gerald Eve and Legat Owen are the agents for the development and are currently accepting enquiries from interested parties.
The first phase, which created 10 units with a total of 68,000 sq ft, completed last September. Tenants have been found for more than two-thirds of that initial phase, including Screwfix, Toolstation and Ross Care.
Kier Property senior development manager Henry Martin said he believes the initial phase’s success will carry on to the second.
“These high-quality industrial units have been well received by the market as they offer flexible and energy efficient space which caters to the modern requirements of occupiers,” he said. “We look forward to completing this next phase and providing further opportunities for local businesses to expand and grow.”
When all phases are complete, the £14m Artis Park scheme will have 122,000 sq ft of floorspace broken down into a variety of units ranging from 4,000 sq ft to 26,260 sq ft.
