AHR on the move in Manchester

Architect and building consultant AHR is relocating its office in Manchester from its current base at Parsonage Chambers, taking 80 staff to 55 Princess Street.

AHR is taking 7,400 sq ft on the fifth floor as its Manchester base, to add to seven more offices throughout the UK. Projects it has delivered include the Slate Yard at Salford’s New Bailey, and it has also produced designs for Bentley’s masterplan for its Crewe headquarters.

Other occupiers at 55 Princess Street include law firm Trowers & Hamlins, and the retained agents on the building are OBI and JLL. Designed by Hodder + Partners, the building was purchased by Standard Life Investments for £22.4m in 2015.

There are two remaining suites available at the building, each of around 8,900 sq ft on the third and fourth floors.

AHR director Dominic Manfredi said: “As a multi-service practice, locating both our architecture and building consultancy disciplines in shared workspace will help our team collaborate to optimise knowledge sharing, drive innovation in our service offering and strengthen relationships across the business. We’re delighted to call it our new home and for the future possibilities this move will bring.”

The office move is due to begin on 25 June.
