Muse and Place to collaborate on powering up the North
The developer and media organisation will work together to showcase the North’s vast potential, including the game-changing regeneration schemes taking place across the region.
Muse is leading many of those projects, including Salford Central, Birkenhead Town Centre, Prestwich Village, and Blackpool’s Talbot Gateway in the North West.
In Yorkshire, schemes include One City Park in Bradford, Forge Island in Rotheram, and Merchant Gate in Wakefield.
Heading to the North East, the placemaker is behind the £300m Northshore neighbourhood in Stockton-on-Tees, The Word in South Shields, and Newcastle Quayside.
Muse is also pushing the sustainability boundary with Eden, a Grade A office with Europe’s largest living wall. The Salford office block is designed to be net zero in operation and is being delivered in partnership with Homes England, Legal & General, and Salford City Council.
“Our North West business is going from strength to strength, with our many long-established relationships and exciting new partnerships working to build a brighter future for our towns and cities,” said Phil Marsden, managing director of the North West at Muse.
“After a successful 2023, we’re looking forward to continuing the momentum, targeting further growth through large-scale projects and long-term partnerships,” he continued.
“Place North West is perfectly placed to help us in strengthening our existing partnerships and forging new relationships, all with a razor-sharp focus on placemaking and people-focussed regeneration. We look forward to working together to achieve our vision.”
Showcasing the potential of the North West, Yorkshire, and North East – and championing the region’s property industry – is at the heart of Place North’s mission.
Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner and head of commercial at Place North, said he was thrilled to work together with Muse in 2024.
“Muse is one of the foremost developers in the UK,” Moutsopoulos said. “Muse’s track record across the North is excellent and as such we are delighted that they have chosen to collaborate with Place North in 2024.”
Moutsopoulos continued: “We look forward to shining a light on the excellent Northern schemes coming forward from Muse and supporting them and their partners.”
Muse has offices in Salford, Leeds, London, and Birmingham. The company is part of the Morgan Sindall Group.
