Muller launches consultation on 90 homes in Barnoldswick

The residential development mooted for a 5.7-acre brownfield site off Fernbank Avenue, which was acquired by Hope Technology in 2014.

It had been unoccupied since the demolition of the former Fernbank Mill some years earlier.

Muller Property Group has partnered with the site owners to draw up a scheme to deliver 90 homes, comprising one- and two-bedroom apartments, two- and three-bedroom townhouses, and three- and four-bedroom semi-detached homes.

You can find information, participate in the public consultation, and give feedback online at fernbankbarnoldswick.co.uk

The development would have an allocation of affordable housing, as well as a mix of both private and communal gardens.

Plans are being put together to be submitted to Pendle Council at a later date.

Ian Weatherill, director at Hope Technology, said: “Muller Property Group has a track record of delivery and we’re excited to embark on this journey and engage with the local community to transform Fernbank into a thriving residential community that honours Barnoldswick’s rich heritage.”

Colin Muller, founder and chief executive, of Muller Property Group, said: “We value the opinions and insights of the local community, and we invite everyone to participate in this consultation process and share their thoughts.

“Together, we can create a development that reflects the spirit and values of Barnoldswick.”
