Identity Consult appoints two directors

Tristan Saunders has joined the development and construction consultancy’s Salford office as director of project management, while Chris Allsop has been promoted to director of quantity surveying at the firm’s Preston base.

Saunders comes to Identity Consult from Mace, where he was an associate director. He has more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked at AA Projects, Arcadis, JLL, and Bruntwood.

“Joining Identity Consult at such an exciting point in its journey is a real privilege,” Saunders said.

“The North West is a hotbed for innovation and opportunity, and I’m proud to be helping lead projects that not only raise standards in design and delivery, but that truly support the communities they serve.”

Saunders case load includes Stockport Council and Network Space’s £22m Cheadle Eco Park. He will also be managing various projects for the University of Manchester and his alma mater, Salford University.

Allsop has been part of the Identity Consult team since 2021, when he was recruited as an associate quantity surveyor. He was promoted to associate director in 2023.

His recent promotion to director of quantity surveying will see him continue his work aiding the refurbishment of Touchstones in Rochdale as well as projects for Salford City Council and Trafford Council.

The director appointments follow a series of hires and promotions for the consultancy’s North West team. Grace Hornsby joined as an associate this summer. Faizal Patel was promoted to senior quantity surveyor. Fern Pritchard was named senior consultant project manager, while Scott Campbell was appointed apprentice project manager.

“We’re firmly focused on growth and investment in the region – not just in terms of projects, but in the people who make them happen,” said Identity Consult North West director Alex Atkinson.

“These new appointments allow us to enhance our client offer and ensure we remain at the forefront of delivering innovative, high-quality developments across the North West.”

In addition to offices in Salford and Preston, Identity Consult works out of Sunderland, York, and Birmingham. The company has 69 staff members. In addition to project management and cost consultancy, Identity Consult offers principal designer and employer’s agent services.
