MIPIM VIDEO | Exploring the future of engineering

Civic Engineers’ Stephen O’Malley weighs in on the changing role of engineers and how the profession can help projects meet net zero ambitions.

O’Malley is the founding director of Civic Engineers, a Manchester-based civil, structural and transport engineering practice focused on having a positive impact on the environment and enabling people to lead happier and healthier lives.

Watch the video above to hear O’Malley’s thoughts on the future of engineering. You can also watch the video on Place North West’s YouTube channel.

O’Malley was speaking to Place at MIPIM, the international property conference in Cannes. One of the major discussion points at this year’s conference, which officially ends on Friday, is sustainability.

Last year, Civic Engineers directors Paul Morris and James Bruce joined Place North West for a podcast focused on how engineers can make a project more sustainable. Listen to the podcast.
