Liverpool One signs five more to South John Street
Grosvenor has added five retailers to the South John Street thoroughfare of Liverpool One, including three brands which are coming to the city for the first time.
New to Liverpool are Mango, taking 3,454 sq ft on the lower level, Blue Inc, 3,831 sq ft, also on the lower level, and Lakeland, 7,313 sq ft on the upper level.
In addition, Vodafone, 3,122 sq ft, is to open its second store in the city centre. Ann Summers has signed-up for a new 2,940 sq ft unit on the lower level, relocating from nearby Whitechapel.
Neil Barber, head of retail leasing at Grosvenor, said: "The latest signings demonstrate that Liverpool One is continuing to attract new and innovative brands to Liverpool city centre for the first time. They will further enhance South John Street's fashion and homewares offer as we gear up for the grand opening of Liverpool One later this year [30 September]."
The first phase of the £1bn, 160-shop scheme opened in May, with trading on South John Street and one side of Paradise Street. The balance of the 1.4m sq ft of retail space opens in the autumn including fashion district Peter's Lane – along with a 14-screen Odeon cinema, restaurant areas, cafes and bars, office space and a five-acre park. Higher-end retailers already signed up include Ted Baker, Reiss, L'Occitane, Ghost, Jigsaw, Flannels, Radley, Fred Perry, G-Star and Jones.
