Latest Cheshire Society of Architects lecture next week

David Page of Glasgow-based architects Page/Park will be the speaker at the next in the series of Cheshire Society of Architects – New Historic City lectures.

"We believe that contemporary design is a process of continual dialogue with the past," Page says.

Page/Park have worked on numerous projects across a variety of sectors undertaking urban design, redevelopment and conservation.

Page/Park's expertise in conservation architecture anchors and informs its innovative design which, together with creative thinking, inspires work with historic buildings and environments.

From this foundation of conservation knowledge and an in depth understanding of historic environments Page/Park have been able to develop a varied and flexible approach to adaptive re-use such as the modernisation of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

The event is due to take place at the Binks Building in the main campus of Chester University on Thursday 6 March 2014, starting with a drinks reception at 6pm and presentation at 7pm.
