JOB | Head of Development – Regeneration Team

Salary: £60,764-£65,151 pa

For the last ten years Salford has maximised its location, assets and capacity to deliver tangible benefits for the growing population of both Salford and the region. The City Council's Regeneration Team led by a Development Director plays a key role in delivering this ambition on behalf of the City Mayor and City Director. Due to promotion of the previous post holder, an exciting opportunity has now become available for an ambitious regeneration professional with a robust commercial background to play a lead role as Head of Development promoting the continued growth of the City.

The post involves working with a range of public and private sector development partners, funding agencies, Greater Manchester partners, other AGMA authorities and international investors to develop and deliver major investment opportunities across the City. The ability to work in partnership with the private sector to promote innovative ways to secure commercial and public finance and investment funding together with a clear demonstration of market awareness are crucial. The post will also provide strategic programme and project support to major cross-cutting capital investment projects and programmes across the City, overseeing the work of the Regeneration and Development Teams.

This is a senior role within the Regeneration Team and you will need to have significant experience of leading, implementing and managing a range of policy and strategy initiatives, programmes and/or projects that deliver physical and economic transformation.

You must also demonstrate a professional and measured approach to collaboration, a commitment to excellence in the regeneration environment and ability to manage transformation and change in a demanding climate.
