Inn Collection Group sold for £300m
Kings Park Capital is once again the owner of the pub chain, purchasing the company back from Alchemy Partners. Kings Park Capital had sold Inn Collection Group to Alchemy back in 2018.
Kings Park Capital purchased the chain alongside The Harris Family Trusts. The Harris family has more than 45 years of experience in the hospitality business and was a major stakeholder in The Bourne Leisure Group until last year.
Inn Collection Group owns 31 properties, including eight in the Lake District: The Ambleside Inn, The Waterhead Inn, The Wateredge Inn and The Temperance Inn in Ambleside, The Coniston Inn in Coniston, The Pheasant Inn in Bassenthwaite, The Swan in Grasmere, and The Angle Inn in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Inn Collection Group managing director Sean Donkin said the company was looking forward to resuming its relationship with Kings Park Capital, adding that the new owner would not impact the day-to-day business of the group.
“It’s very much a case of ‘business as usual’ across our operations as we continue to invest in our people and estate to further develop The Inn Collection Group brand and concept while growing our portfolio with new sites,” Donkin said.
Paul Harris with the Harris Family Trust shared his enthusiasm for the deal: “We are excited at the prospect of backing Sean and his team to continue their ambitious strategy and to support further growth of their high-quality portfolio of well-located inns with great potential.”
The Midland has been bastardised to a bog standard cafe. I am so sad and disappointed by the sad demise of this wonderful hotel
