Holiday park owner selling portfolio

Barton Park Homes has put Willowgrove Leisure Park in Preesall, Lancashire on the market with an asking price of £7.5m.

The 24-acres park has 223 holiday pitches, large grassed paddock and fully stocked fishing lake. The sale includes a 56-home estate next to the holiday element.

Richard Moss, head of parks agency at Colliers International, said: "It is rare that a park of this size and quality is offered on the open market. The vendor has carefully developed the property over 18 years of ownership and has created a very successful business which derives strong pitch fee and rental income from holiday and home owners. The standard of the property and indeed customer care is excellent, which means that caravan owners very rarely choose to leave the park and therefore sale and resale prices are consistently well above sector averages."

This instruction is part of a nationwide mandate for Colliers to sell Barton Park Homes' entire UK portfolio; an established group of eight holiday and home parks located in various locations across England. The parks are being put on the market to enable the Barton Group to embark on expanding their other business interests.

Colliers is marketing the group's parks on an individual basis, but are also open to interest in the whole group or sub-groups.
