GVA economic impact team join Turleys
Three members of staff from GVA in Manchester have joined planning and urban design consultancy Turley Associates to establish an economic analysis team.
The new Turleys team will produce economic impact assessment studies and test development viability for clients to help drive planning strategy.
Richard Laming joins as director and head of the newly created department, along with colleagues Antony Pollard, also director, and Matt Spilsbury, senior economic advisor.
Laming said: "We are excited to join a market-leading planning company that is known for its high quality and commercially driven advice. We look forward to adding a full range of economic services from Community Infrastructure Levy advice through to economic impact assessment to housing market assessment and economic strategy."
Rob Lucas, chief executive of Turley Associates, said: "We see a strong and under-served market for integrated economic planning advice within our offer. We have plans to expand this area of business further and are on the look-out for very capable consultants."
At GVA, Laming's team worked for Gladman Developments, Taylor Wimpey, Miller Homes, Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and Britain's Energy Coast.
Earlier this week, GVA announced it had hired three planning staff; from Mouchel, Miller Metcalfe and a graduate.
