Greenfield resi for Holmes Chapel
Cheshire East Council has approved the development of 24 homes on open countryside near the village of Holmes Chapel by developer Property Capital.
Permission was granted unanimously by Cheshire East Council's northern planning committee and work is set to begin on the site later this year.
The development will consist of a mix of bespoke house types, designed to reflect the site's proximity to the grade two-listed Marsh Hall. Almost a third of the new homes will be affordable properties.
The site is located in the open countryside at the junction of Manor Lane and Marsh Lane. Cheshire East Council accepted the need to release the greenfield site to help address its housing shortfall.
The Manchester office of planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore advised Property Capital.
Steven Grimster, associate at Barton Willmore said: "We have worked very closely with the planning, design and highways officers at Cheshire East Council over the past 12 months to achieve a high-quality housing scheme. This scheme is a good example of pro-active working between developer and council officers."
MPSL designed the scheme.
