Forshaw lodges plans for 154 affordable homes in Irlam

A mix of houses and apartments is planned on 7.5 acres on the northern edge of the Salford town.

Showcasing its versatility, Forshaw Land and Property, which is behind tower schemes in both Manchester and Salford, has submitted an application for a very different kind of development: 154 affordable homes on a Green Belt site in the suburbs.

The 100% affordable scheme off Fiddlers Lane would comprise 76 houses and 78 apartments. They would be owned and operated by registered provider ForHousing upon completion.

The one- and two-bed apartments would be delivered across two blocks of three- and four-storeys. The houses would be a mix of two-, three-, and four-bed properties.

Broadgrove Planning is advising Forshaw on the proposals and BTP Architects is leading on design.
