Former Pendle textiles mill site in for wedding transformation

The now-vacant site that once housed Springbank Works could be transformed to deliver a 27,900 sq ft celebration venue.

Under H S Developments’ proposals, the land off Manchester Road in Nelson would be converted to accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions.

A V Town Planning has submitted the plans for the venue, which could be enjoyed by up to 600 guests at a time. Proposals include a private garden, welcome plaza with a water feature, and two terraces – all along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Visitors would be provided with 200 car parking spaces, including six disabled.

Reed Studio is the landscape architect for the scheme. Steve Woods Consultants is advising on transport.
