Former Dreams unit becomes soft play centre

Peter Brett Associates helped Crystal Property & Land secure planning consent for a vacant retail unit in Wigan to be converted into a children's soft play centre.

The 8,000 sq ft unit on Crystal's Wharf Mill Retail Park is to become a Run & Jump indoor soft play centre, which will include a large play structure for older children and a smaller play structure for toddlers.

Michael Gilbert, principal planner in PBA's Manchester office, said: "The change of use will enable this vacant retail unit, which was formerly occupied by Dreams, to be brought back into active use, while providing a much needed resource for families with children in the Wigan area.

"The site is in a highly accessible location close to Wigan town centre and within walking distance of both railway stations."
