Former Walker Sime directors create new company

Gavin Garner, Nick Wdowczyk, and Pete Broughton have joined forces to launch GWB Consultants – a quantity surveyor and project management business based in Hollinwood.

All three of GWB founders are former directors at Walker Sime, with Broughton and Garner having also worked together at WCP Associates prior to its acquisition by Walker Sime. Combined, the trio have more than 50 years of experience.

Wdowczyk said he and his fellow co-founders were “thrilled” to start the new company.

“The three of us share the same ethos, which is providing a director-led service to our clients on every project, ensuring they are getting the best possible services,” he said.

“We have a great pool of experience between us across a wide range of sectors which we feel will provide the best possible support to our clients.”

GWB is already working on a series of projects across the North West, including CERT Property’s Peelers Yard in Manchester, EMPOWER’s Salford Youth Zone in Pendleton, and the Blackburn Youth Zone. GWB is also working in Yorkshire, Staffordshire, and Northamptonshire.

Wdowczyk spoke with Place about his enthusiasm to be hands-on with his projects. “We are passionate about service delivery and are involved in each of our projects from start to finish,” he said.
