DAC Beachcroft recruits from London Legacy Corp

Law firm DAC Beachcroft has appointed planning expert Simon Kelly in its Manchester office. Kelly joins from the London Legacy Development Corporation, where he has been a legal advisor to the planning committee since April 2013.

Also previously of top 20 law firm Dentons, Kelly has extensive experience of advising on and negotiating section 106 agreements for major developments and dealing with planning appeals.

At LLDC, he worked on the redevelopment of the former Olympic Broadcasting & Media facilities.

Kelly will work as part of DAC Beachcroft's planning and environment team, which operates from Manchester, Bristol and London, acting for developers, landowners and local authorities.

Anita Rivera, head of planning at DAC Beachcroft, said: "For us to be able to bring in someone of Simon's calibre and first-rate experience at the cutting edge of planning policy will be an enormous asset both to our lawyers and to our clients."
