Cushman chooses Lewis to lead on North West logistics

James Lewis has been appointed as a partner and will support the firm’s occupier, developer, and investor clients across the region.

Lewis joins Cushman & Wakefield from Lambert Smith Hampton, where he held the role of director within its regional team for four months.

Before LSH, Lewis spent three and a half years with developer and asset manager Canmoor.

He will be based in Cushman’s Manchester office and is set to work alongside surveyor George Turner, with further team expansion expected in 2026.

Richard Evans, head of UK logistics and industrial at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “[James] joins at a pivotal time in the sector and will play a vital role in our continued growth and presence, supporting clients across the region.

“On both a national and regional level, we continue to see promising signs of recovery. The North West remains a premier and buoyant logistics market, and one which has seen continued rental growth recorded in recent years.

“The rental growth outlook for the region remains strong, particularly within the mid-box market.”

He added: “The North West’s potential for significant consumer market recovery is looking positive as we head into 2026.”

Cushman & Wakefield is currently marketing Manchester City Council’s 120-home Moston Lane development on the local authority’s behalf.

Are there any agents left at Lambert’s? Its so sad to see the continuous downfall of what used to be a strong Manchester office. Serious problems for Lambert’s on a regional and national basis.
