Cruise operator joins holiday boom at Liverpool John Lennon

Cruise operator Fred Olsen has become the latest operator to offer new services out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA).

Fred Olsen will begin 15-night fly and cruise holidays from JLA starting from 6 November, 2008.

Known as Treasures of the Caribbean the holiday will see passengers depart from Liverpool to Bridgetown, Barbados on a Thomson Fly aircraft. Passengers will then board the Boudicca cruise ship before visiting Tobago, Curacao, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Tortola, Antigua, St Lucia, and the Grenadines before heading back to Barbados for the return flight back to Liverpool.

Vic Brodrick, group commercial director of Peel Airports, said: "Fly cruises have always been popular and operator Fred Olsen is renowned for its quality and great range of destinations."

For the launch, Fred Olsen is offering passengers a special price of £1,249 per person (a 45% discount), in an inside twin cabin. This price includes accommodation, all food and entertainment on board Boudicca, and port and airport taxes.
