Crewe tool hire firm unveils relocation plans

HOW Planning has submitted an application on behalf of tool and plant hire company PET Hire, seeking a change of use for its current business premises in Earle Street on a main route into Crewe town centre.

The submission is two-fold. A Section 73 application, to vary a condition attached to the current premises, would open up the site to A1 uses, shops. In turn PET Hire plans to relocate to the opposite side of the road a planning application will be submitted on this land, helping regenerate what is currently an unsightly vacant piece of land.

Carol Clarke, associate at HOW Planning, said: "Earle Street is a major route into Crewe town centre and PET Hire occupies an excellent position which would be a very attractive proposition to a retail business.

"The plans being put forward by PET Hire would not only help with their own growth and retain an important local business but will also significantly help with Crewe Vision's aspirations for the town."
