Claremont strengthens interior consultancy team
Warrington-based Claremont Group Interiors has appointed former BIG Interiors director Simon Baxendale to Claremont Interior Consultancy as head of business development.
The interior consultancy division was established in 2000 to provide clients with a fee-based service and has grown to combine workplace consultancy and space planning with interior design, brand expression and integrated technology.
Ann Clarke, joint managing director of Claremont Group Interiors, said: "Interior consultancy has been a very successful part of our business for the past 12 years. Simon's arrival really bolsters our in-house expertise and gives us the additional resource we need to offer an increased range of workplace planning services to clients looking to rationalise their property portfolio.
"Workplace consultancy can deliver real cost savings, particularly for those businesses on the cusp of large organisational change. In today's climate we expect strong interest and Simon's appointment enables us to really capitalise on that."
Baxendale was director of BIG Interior Services, a Manchester-based design and fit-out business, with his father Colin. He said: "After 20 years in the family business I was keen to work within a much larger corporate design environment. Claremont has an impressive client list and a very well-resourced and multi-disciplined design team. That's a very compelling story to tell and I'm delighted to be on board."
BIG Interior Services will continue to operate from its Old Trafford base, headed by Colin Baxendale and Karen Williams.
