Buro Four trio reunited with Boles at Bidwells

Gary James and Andrew Cobbold have joined Bidwells’ Manchester office as partners, as has senior project manager Benjamin Flenley.

All three have departed from Buro Four after a combined 44 years with the firm and will reunite with David Boles, who himself left Buro Four after nearly 25 years to join Bidwells earlier this year.

Boles, Bidwells partner and head of project management in the North, said: “The guys join us at a time of rapid development opportunity across the North of England, especially with the increasing demand for the delivery of complex, residential, science & technology and regeneration-led schemes.

“Their experience, and the fact we’re a proven team together, will be key to developing Bidwells to play a major role in shaping the region’s next phase of growth.”

The hires form part of Bidwells’ ambition to double the size of the business by 2030, increase its presence in the North, and grow its project management capabilities.

James’ past projects include Citylabs, Stockport Exchange, and Manchester Jewish Museum. Cobbold has worked on scheme’s including the First Light Pavilion on Jodrell Bank and the redevelopment of Stretford Mall for Bruntwood.

Neil Cole, Bidwells partner and head of project management, said: “Growing our team in the North is an important step for Bidwells as we look to deliver on our strategy of growth. We are delighted to welcome Gary, Andy and Benji to Bidwells and their arrival allows us to continue to work more closely with our clients, across all parts of the UK.

“By building our presence here, we can help shape developments that bring real, lasting value to the communities we operate in”.
