BAM adds CBRE at Metro

BAM Properties has appointed CB Richard Ellis as joint letting agents alongside Canning O'Neill on its 72,500 sq ft office development in Salford Quays.

Neil Mort, of BAM, said: "After reviewing the marketing strategy for Metro we felt it was time for new input and we welcome CBRE to the team after their successful pitch. There are signs that the market is picking up and with many occupiers focused on green buildings that reduce running costs and tick the corporate social responsibility box we believe Metro will continue to be a strong contender with occupiers."

John Ogden, senior director at CBRE, said: "Metro has great credentials, is BREEAM 'excellent', has great floor-plates which can accommodate both low and high density occupation, is easily accessible for Manchester city centre as it is directly on the Metrolink and within easy reach of the motorway network. But above all it is extremely efficient space in a sustainable location available at an exceptionally competitive price."

Good luck, CBRE. Can’t see this being let in the next 2 – 3 years, especially given the amount of space available at Media City. Another BAM white elephant?

Good move by BAM. The best chance of seeing this building let is for CBRE to ‘guide’ one of their occupier clients into the building in an off-market deal.

I’m sure the new agents will try really hard to let it.

Agents!!? The building is so good, it will let itself.

BAM have created a stunning piece of architecture here. I’m sure they’re just being picky…
