AECOM recruits cost management director

Paul Camac has joined the global consultancy’s Salford office from RPS, where he was commercial director.

Camac started his position as director of cost management at AECOM at the beginning of March and is leading the Salford cost consultancy team. He will be working alongside the firm’s Manchester-based director of project management, Matthew Gerken, as well as AECOM’s head of project, programme, and cost management in the North, Jonathan Moore.

Camac has more than 30 years of experience in quantity surveying, having worked at Gleeds, Bam, and Eric Wright Group in addition to the five years he spent at RPS.

His hire was one of several from RPS this month. AECOM has also recruited Stephen Chadwick and Rebecca Costello. They will work out of the consultancy’s Liverpool office as associate director and cost management project surveyor, respectively.

“Paul, Stephen and Rebecca bring additional strength and depth to the team – providing a relationship-led approach and a fresh perspective to the transformational projects we’re working on with public and private sector clients alike,” said Moore.

Moore has been leading AECOM’s ambitious growth of its North West cost consultancy and project management team, doubling its staff from 30 to 60 over the past year.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve strengthened our presence across the region to ensure we’re able to provide a team of local, multi-disciplinary specialists able to support every stage of a project while continuing to benefit from the international expertise AECOM offers globally,” Moore said.
