15 acres up for grabs near Kendal

H&H Land & Estates is now accepting expressions of interest for a site off Burton Road, which is allocated for a business or science park within the area’s local plan.

Currently made up of three different fields, the 15-acre site in question is by a bus stop and accessible via a public bridleway between Burton Road and Oxenholme.

“This is a sizeable development site to the south of the town, in a great location for businesses and employers,” said Rachel Bagshaw, associate director and head of land agency for the South Lakes at H&H Land and Estates.

“It has the potential to be a really significant development for the area in terms of both the local economy and job creation,” she continued.

Bagshaw went on to describe its development potential as a “unique opportunity for someone to develop a cutting-edge business park in this part of Cumbria”.

By a bus stop – with one bus per hour. Be quicker to take your horse along the bridleway.

I think the fact its located next to Oxenholme station on the west coast mainline is more of a selling point than the bus stop!

Instead of digging up the countryside again, why not redevelop the old Clarks distribution site on Natland Rd? It’s only half a mile away!
