Countryside and Bellway schemes approved
Liverpool City Council has signed-off the development of 300 houses by Countryside Properties and Bellway Homes at its latest planning committee meeting.
Plans by Countryside Properties for the 19.5-acre former Gateacre Comprehensive School in Grange Lane, Woolton have been signed-off.
The developer proposes 200 homes with landscaping on the plot, to include a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom detached and semi-detached family houses.
Turley is Countryside’s planning advisor.
At Prescot Road, Bellway Homes is set to build 98 homes on the former Police Club.
The square 6.5-acre site is made up of two football pitches and three bowling greens which were previously used by the Merseyside Police but which have been vacant for some time. The plot is allocated as green space within the adopted unitary development plan.
The development would be a mix of three- and four-bedroom properties, 28 of which would be semi-detached.
Nexus Planning advised Bellway on the application.
