Work begins on £3m warehouse overhaul
South Street Capital has started refurbishing a 100,000 sq ft warehouse at Southmoor Industrial Estate, near to Manchester Airport.
Advised by Knight Frank, the £3m investment will enable the unit to be sub-divided and reconfigured as required and will provide four high-level access doors together with office accommodation, car parking and 24/7 manned security.
Wainwright & Co is leading on the design and managing the project.

The refurbishment is part of a comprehensive review of the Southmoor Estate, which was acquired for clients of South Street Capital late last year for just over £12m.
The entire freehold estate totals 333,000 sq ft of industrial and office accommodation.
Trafford House, an Art Deco style office building, is also undergoing a refurbishment to provide 20,000 sq ft of workspace across two floors.
Mark Bamber, partner office agency at Knight Frank, said: “We think Trafford House will fill a gap in the market, offering a range of flexible office space which will be very competitively priced compared to nearby locations.”
The office is due to come to the market next spring. Williams Sillitoe is acting as joint agents.
