Wealth at Work takes 20,000 sq ft in Liverpool
The financial advisor is relocating from Temple Square to Forma Real Estate’s No5 St Paul’s Square.
Liverpool-based Wealth at Work has signed a lease on 20,000 sq ft previously occupied by Reach PLC.
Around 150 staff will be based within the recently refurbished space.
David Cassidy, chief executive of the Wealth at Work Group, said: “We have had increasing demand for digital communications from large corporates and it was important that we secured bigger premises to be a one-stop shop for all requirements.
“We already deliver financial wellbeing and retirement services to millions of employees and pension scheme members and will continue to innovate to remain at the forefront in delivering these services to companies and occupational pension schemes alike. As client demand increases for digital services, we continue to invest in this area.”
The Wealth at Work letting is the largest in Liverpool since last summer.
In June, Place North West revealed Sony-owned video game developer Firesprite would take the entirety of Cert Property’s 50,000 sq ft Duke & Parr.
The Wealth at Work deal is also the first at No5 St Paul’s Square since European fund manager Forma bought the 136,000 sq ft building from Abrdn for around £35m in June.
Ben Dickins, UK head of asset management at Forma, said: “We are very pleased to welcome the Wealth at Work group, having illustrated to them our plans to substantially upgrade the property with a focus on employee wellbeing and asset sustainability credentials.”
Having upgraded the Wealth at Work space, Forma plans to refurbish the rest of the building this year.
“We are committed to modernising the tenant amenities at the property, improving the building’s operational performance and providing a high level of client service,” Dickins said.
“It is an approach we will apply across the board as we expand our UK commercial portfolio.”
Worthington Owen, the sole letting agent on the building, acted for Forma. Wealth at Work was unrepresented.
Mark Worthington, director at Worthington Owen, added: “The Wealth at Work group are one of Liverpool’s most successful companies so we are naturally delighted that they have chosen to relocate to No5 St Paul’s Square.
“They have been a pleasure to work with. There is strong interest in the building which is an indication of Forma’s approach to the upcoming improvement works.”
Pity this is not a new company lease but a relocation. Hope they get more.
