Warrington investment website launched

Marketing Cheshire and Warrington & Co have launched a website, www.investinwarrington.com, to showcase the town as a premier UK business location.

Invest in Warrington.com promotes the town's strengths and assets as a regional economic powerhouse to potential investors, providing important information both for businesses looking to relocate into Warrington and to indigenous businesses seeking to develop and grow. Information on Warrington's local economy, its key strategic sites and premises, demographics, plus business support services, can all be accessed through the new website.

The website was developed in partnership with Warrington & Co and Warrington Council, and sponsored by private sector partners, MEPC Birchwood Park and ClearSky, an expert provider of small business services.

Peter Crompton, chairman of Warrington & Co, the regeneration partnership, said: "Warrington has recently been recognised by Centre For Cities as the UK's number 1 growth town. This website is an important addition to our endeavours to ensure we maintain this status. It will provide a key promotional channel for Warrington, offering potential investors to the town with a one-stop shop resource."

Jonathan Walsh, managing director of MEPC Birchwood Park added: "Birchwood Park is the leading, most successful business community in Warrington. This website will promote everything that is great about Warrington as business destination, we are delighted to support such an important initiative."

Derek Kelly, managing director of ClearSky, added: "As one of the UK's most respected business service providers to contractors, sole traders, partnerships and SMEs, we now employ over 70 staff at our head office in Warrington. As such, we fully recognise Warrington's strength as an economic centre, and want to support initiatives such as this that are aimed at accelerating its future growth potential."
