Wain Estates hires ex-Homes England senior manager
Natalie Webster has joined the property management company as associate planning and development director following a five-year leadership stint with the government agency.
Wain Estates is part of the Warrington-based Wain Group, which also owns housebuilder Wain Homes.
Webster is tasked with leading strategic projects in her new role at Wain Estates. She will guide developments through every stage from acquisition to the open market.
In addition to her five years spent as senior planning and enabling manager at Homes England, Webster has also held senior positions at The Co-operative Group and Arup, where she worked as pre-construction project manager and senior planner, respectively.
Previous roles have seen Webster help to deliver sites such as the 575-acre mixed-use Omega in Warrington and Miller Development’s Omega West industrial in St Helens.
Webster said: “This is an exciting hybrid role, where I can utilise all my delivery experience and planning background to help bring a wide range of land assets across the UK to market for development.
“The ethos of the Wain Group really attracted me and Wain Estates is a strong and exciting business with a large number of sites offering huge potential and I really wanted to be part of making that happen.”
Angela Heaney, managing director of land promotion at Wain Estates, added: “Natalie brings broad knowledge and hands-on experience to the team and I am delighted to have her on board.
“Her ability to bring multiple stakeholders to the table and make progress is a huge asset and critical to bringing sites to the open market.”
Established in 1972, Wain Group employs more than 360 people across the country. The company’s portfolio features the 1,665-acre Carrington Estate – a former Shell Refinery site with the potential for 3.5m sq ft of employment space and 2,900 homes.
Congrats Nat. A really great appointment for Wain Estates.
