Veitch switches from Barr to Ocon

Colin Veitch has left Scottish firm Barr to take up the position of group operations director with its rival, Manchester-based Ocon Construction.

Veitch has previously worked at HBG, where he was area manager and construction director and Renew subsidiary Allenbuild, where he was a regional managing director.

Ocon, which grew out of specialist student accommodation developer Opal Property Group, works in the student, hotel, education and retail sectors. Current projects include an apartment, office and retail development at Manor Mills in Leeds and a sports centre for Nottingham University.
