University food centre moves forward

Mersey Design Group has won the commission for architectural services for the £4m North West Research & Development Exchange at the University of Chester.
The 16,000 sq ft scheme is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and consists of a three storey block containing laboratories and commercial kitchens.
Tony Crawford, director of Mersey Design Group, said: "We are delighted to have won this commission with such a prestigious client and look forward to a smooth and successful outcome."
The construction contract has yet to be awarded and procurement is running through the In-tend system.
Completion is expected around February 2014.
