United Utilities awards Balfour Beatty £500m contract
Balfour Beatty has been awarded a capital programme contract worth in the region of £500m in total from United Utilities.
The Warrington-based firm has appointed Balfour Beatty for its infrastructure investments, covering capital delivery throughout the North West.
Over a period of five years, the contract, known as AMP 5, involves the delivery of clean water and wastewater major projects and flood alleviation schemes.
Speaking on the company's website yesterday, Ian Tyler, chief executive of Balfour Beatty, said: "We look forward to working closely with our customers and drawing on our skills and experience to deliver first-class customer service, excellent health and safety management and innovative ways of working."
The contract will start in April this year.
