Two project wins for Pochin
Construction firm Pochin has secured £2.4m in new work across two sites, with appointments to a regeneration scheme on Didsbury Road in Stockport and the conversion of office space to residential in Victoria Street, Altrincham.
Pochin was selected by Merepark Homes to convert an open plan office on Victoria Street, Altrincham. The £1.3m project will see the complete conversion and refurbishment of the office to three one-bedroom apartments, due to complete by September 2014.
The £1.1m Four Heatons building in Stockport, which was commissioned by Stockport Council, will replace a derelict pub and now includes a 3,900 sq ft retail unit, which will be refitted as a local food store with eight apartments above. The project is due to complete in the winter this year.
Jonathan Pochin, managing director of Pochin Construction, said: "UK construction is enjoying a welcome return to growth, with a remarkable resurgence in construction nationwide.
"We're very pleased to be providing our services and professional insight into the projects in Leek and Greater Manchester, with each requiring its own unique strategy and specialised capabilities. We're looking forward to achieving high quality final results for each development and some further bright prospects for Pochin in the second half of the year."
