Turner & Townsend offices hit by job losses

Construction consultant Turner & Townsend, which has offices in Liverpool and Manchester, has begun consultation with staff over 90 redundancies, equivalent to around 7% of its UK workforce.
The bulk of the losses are expected to be felt in London but the other 12 offices around the UK will also be affected.
The company's workload in the North West includes an extension to Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, restoration of Birkenhead Park and monitoring Liverpool One for Liverpool City Council.
Globally Turner & Townsend has 2,000 staff in 50 offices.
No one at the company was immediately available for comment.
