Turley director to join Planning Inspectorate
Paul Singleton, director and national head of compulsory purchase at Manchester-based Turley is due to leave the consultancy in September to join the Planning Inspectorate.
The Planning Inspectorate deals with planning appeals, national infrastructure planning applications, examinations of local plans and other planning-related and specialist casework in England and Wales. The Planning Inspectorate is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Communities & Local Government.
Singleton has been with Turley for 23 years and was formerly office director in Manchester before leading the firm’s expert witness and CPO service.
He will continue to eb based in the North West but could take cases across the UK.
Bob May, director of corporate social responsibility at Turley, will take over from Singleton on his departure. May has been a director at Turley for 20 years.
