Thwaites resigns from GVA to join FI

David Thwaites is leaving Bilfinger GVA in Manchester to work client-side on asset management at FI Real Estate Management in Chorley.

FI is headed by Isle of Man resident Tim Knowles whose other businesses include retail mill Botany Bay and First Investments.

FI turned over £8.3m in the year to the end of January 2015 and produced a profit of £4.9m.

Thwaites has been at GVA since July 2013. He joined from Lambert Smith Hampton, where he had been for 13 years.

He is associate director at GVA and is due to join FI at the end of October as senior asset manager working on national office portfolios.

Chris Cheap, senior director at Bilfinger GVA, said: “David is going to work client-side and goes with our best wishes. We will be making announcements soon about replacements.”

GVA’s office agency team across Liverpool and Manchester comprises Cheap, Thwaites, Ian Steele, director, Jonathan Lowe, associate director, Rhys Evans, surveyor.
