Stockport firm gains £6.8m hotel contract

Stockport-based construction firm Mulitibuild has landed a £6.8m contract to build a new 169-bedroom Premier Inn hotel near to Manchester Airport.

The construction of the hotel, being operated by Whitbread, is due to take 52 weeks to complete with March 2009 being the scheduled finishing date.

Multibuild is being instructed by Manchester Airport Developments.

North View, a 150-bedroom in-patient mental health unit, will open its doors next month after works were finalised this week.

John Sisk & Son has started work on Eliza Yard and Jersey Wharf – two eight-storey blocks that will overlook the Rochdale Canal.
