Standard Life signs pair in north Manchester
Acting on behalf of Standard Life Investment Funds, King Sturge has secured two lettings at Park 17 Industrial Estate in Whitefield.
Unit 1, comprising 13,550 sq ft, was let to local wholesaler, Maison Fleur, on a new five-year lease at a headline rent of £5.00/sq ft. As well as providing larger warehouse and office accommodation, the company will be fitting out a new showroom to highlight their range of home accessories.
US company WESCO Distribution has acquired the adjacent property, Unit 2, on a five-year term. The unit comprises 13,469 sq ft of refurbished warehouse and office space. WESCO is relocating from its existing base close to Manchester Airport.
Daniel Burn, senior associate at King Sturge, said: "To dispose of two large units on the estate to established occupiers in quick succession is positive news for the local economy. Park 17 has always been a popular estate, conveniently located close to the M60 and to local amenities. The location, together with the proactive refurbishment program that Standard Life Investments has implemented has been fundamental in securing these deals."
King Sturge and Davies Harrison acted for Standard Life Investments. Jones Lang LaSalle acted for WESCO Distribution.
