St Modwen’s Wythenshawe retail fully let

St Modwen has reached 100% occupancy of its Wythenshawe town centre retail space following a letting to Phones4U.

The national mobile phone retailer agreed a five-year lease on a 1,500 sq ft ground-floor unit on The Birtles.

Steve Knowles, development director of St Modwen, said: "Wythenshawe town centre has a very strong convenience-led offer and we've worked hard to strike the right balance between independent retailers, multiples and national brands.

"Wythenshawe serves a large proportion of residential and commercial areas in South Manchester and we believe Phones4U will do well here. This letting is a sign of the high levels of confidence in Wythenshawe as a thriving town centre."

Wythenshawe town centre is anchored by Asda and includes Argos, Boots and Game Station as well as independent retailers Deli 19, Gift Doctor and a quality indoor food market.

Retailers Netto and Wilkinsons have also committed to join the town centre after signing up to St Modwen's Etrop Court, a new retail and office development at the northern end of The Birtles.
