Space Invader expands

Commercial interior design practice Space Invader has made two senior appointments to keep pace with a growing order book.

Matthew Holmes and Katie Crossley, previously at Claremont Group Interiors and AEW respectively, have been appointed as senior designers.

Holmes has 10 years' experience of designing and delivering fit-out projects across the UK including the Auto Trader premises at First Street this year.

Crossley has been working as a commercial interior designer for eight years, and has a particular strength in the hotel sector having taken a variety of projects from pre-concept through to completion for the likes of Crowne Plaza, Hampton by Hilton and Accor whilst at Leach Rhodes Walker.

In addition, Hayley Watters and Oliver Collinge, both of whom graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University earlier this year, have also joined the team.

Simon Millington, director of Space Invader, said: "The North West consultancy market is thriving at the moment and it's not just being driven by local requirements, we are seeing major clients both nationally and internationally purposefully coming to companies in our region because of the unique talent pool we have here.

"Thanks to the buoyant market conditions and a strong performance this year we have been able to invest in our business to ensure we attract the very best designers, this includes experienced professionals such as Matt and Katie, but also the raw talent of our graduates Hayley and Ollie who we will be nurturing over the coming years to help them develop their skills base."

Space Invader employs 14 people at its base in Commercial Street, Castlefield, Manchester.
