Sixteen Real Estate hires from Colliers
Amelia Barratt has joined the office, industrial and retail team in Manchester’s City Tower after working as a surveyor at Colliers for nearly three years.
The real estate consultancy was established in 2016 after directors Nick Nelson and Andy Blackhouse left Colliers. Barratt brings the company up to five members of staff, including retail specialists Nicola Harrington and Alex Haigh, and co-founders Nelson and Blackhouse.
Barratt will work alongside Nelson on office asset management and tenant engagement across the city.
Sixteen’s successes this year include advising on Aviva’s off-market acquisition of 55 Spring Gardens for an undisclosed sum from CBRE. Sixteen also acted as agent on Distrelec’s 16,500 sq ft letting in 2 St Peter’s Square.
Barratt said: “I am really pleased to be taking on this new challenge and being part of such a dynamic team that is constantly evolving.”
Nelson added: “Amelia will bring a different skillset to Sixteen that includes, management, tenant interaction and digital marketing initiatives that will benefit our retained clients and their assets.”
